Patrick J. Arre
Patrick J. Arre is a judge on the Vicinage 5 Superior Court, which serves Essex County, New Jersey[1] He was appointed by Governor Chris Christie in 2011, and his term will end in 2018.[2] When first appointed, Arre served in Hudson County for the Vicinage 6 Superior Court, but was later reassigned to Vicinage 5.[3]
Education
Arre earned his B.A. at Rutgers College in 1977, and his J.D. from Southwestern University School of Law in 1981.[4]
Career
Prior to Arre's appointment as a New Jersey Superior Courts judge, he headed the Personal Injury and Medical Malpractice Department at the law office Chasan, Leyner, & Lamparello. Before that he served as an assistant Essex County prosecutor until 1987 in the Special Case Prosecutor section. He began his career in criminal defense in the office of former State Senator C. Robert Sarcone.[4][5]
