Paul Dunkelman

Paul Dunkelman is a judge for the Fifth District Court in Colorado. He was appointed by Governor John Hickenlooper on October 16, 2013 to succeed R. Thomas Moorhead, effective November 30.[1] He will serve a provisional term of two years before he is required to run for retention in the 2016 general election.[2]
Education
Dunkelman received his undergraduate degree in economics from Colgate University in 1988 and his J.D. from the University of Denver in 1993.[1][3]
Career
Prior to becoming a judge for the Fifth District Court, Dunkelman was a partner with the law firm of Carlson, Carlson & Dunkelman LLC. He also served as a prosecuting attorney for the town of Leadville, Colorado and an adjunct professor at Colorado Mountain College. He began his legal career in the Second Judicial District, serving as a clerk for Lynne M. Hufnagel and Paul A. Markson, Jr.[1]
