Peter E. Doyne
Peter E. Doyne was an assignment judge on the Vicinage 2 Superior Court in New Jersey.[1] He was first appointed to the bench by former Governor Jim Florio in 1993, and was reappointed in 2000.[2] Doyne retired from the bench on May 1, 2015.[3]
Education
Doyne earned his undergraduate degree from Lafayette College and his J.D. from the Rutgers University Law School-Newark.[2]
Career
Doyne worked in private practice until his judicial appointment in 1993. He served in Bergen County's civil division, and became presiding judge in 1997. In 2004, Doyne was assigned to the general equity part of the division, and in 2006 he became the presiding judge of the Chancery Division. In 2008, Doyne was appointed to be the assignment judge of the vicinage.[2]
