Polly D. Sizemore
Polly D. Sizemore was a district court judge for the 18th Judicial District of North Carolina. She was appointed by former Governor Mike Easley in February of 2007, effective March 30. She was elected in 2008. She lost a bid for re-election in 2012 and retired from the court in December of 2012.[1][2][3][4][5]
Education
Sizemore received her B.A. degree from Appalachian State University in 1973, her M.Ed. degree from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 1980 and her J.D. degree from the Wake Forest University School of Law in 1988.[2]
Career
Sizemore worked as a private practice attorney for approximately 18 years prior to her judicial appointment in 2007.[2]
2012 election
Sizemore was defeated by Tabatha Holliday on November 6, 2012, receiving 46.3% of the vote.[5][6]
