Richard L. James was a judge on the Trumbull County Domestic Relations/Juvenile Court in Ohio. He was appointed to the court in 1993. He retired on December 31, 2012 after losing a bid for re-election.[1]

2012 election

James was defeated by Sandra Stabile Harwood in the general election on November 6, receiving 48.73% of the vote.[2][3]

Education

James received his undergraduate degree from Hiram College in 1973 and his J.D. from the University of Akron in 1981.[4]

Career

Prior to joining the court, James was an Assistant Law Director for the City of Warren. Simultaneously, he was an attorney in private practice.[1]
