Richard T. Dunne is a judge on the Suffolk County District Court in New York. In 2012, he was elected to a term expiring in 2022.
Education
Dunne received his undergraduate degree from the State University of New York at Albany in 1980, his Master's degree from New York University in 1982 and his J.D. from Tuoro College School of Law in 1986.[1]
Career
Prior to joining the court, Dunne spent twenty-seven years working with the Suffolk County District Attorney's Office and the Suffolk County Department of Law.[1]
2012 election
Dunne was one of five candidates competing for two positions in the general election on November 6, 2012. Dunne ran on the Conservative and Republican tickets. He was elected to the court after receiving 29.56% of the vote.[2][3]
