Ricky L. Swalm

Ricky Swalm was an at-large representative on the West Chester Area school board. He first won election to the board on November 5, 2013, and did not seek an additional term in 2017. Swalm also served on the board from 2006 to 2011.
Biography
Swalm earned a Ph.D. in curriculum and instruction from Temple University, an M.S. in physical education from Washington State University, and a B.S. in health and physical education from Penn State University. His professional experience includes working as an educator for at the high school and collegiate levels and as an associate professor at Temple University. He has also currently consulted with the Educational Testing Service on national teacher exams and was a fellow in the Educational Policy Fellowship Program.[1]

Swalm ran for an at-large seat on the school board on November 5, 2013, against Maria Pimley, Sean Carpenter, Edward Coyle, Pam LaTorre, Robin Kaliner, Joyce Chester, and Chris McCune.
