Ring appointed to District Court
June 3, 2010
Oklahoma: Rodney David Ring is Oklahoma's newest district court judge. He will serve on District 21 Court. Though judges are normally appointed by the governor, Ring was appointed by Oklahoma Supreme Court justice James Edmondson due to a conflict of interest. Ring has been an attorney in private practice and also served as a special judge for Cleveland County for 20 years. If he wishes to retain his seat, he will have to run for election this year.
Ring fills a vacancy created in 2009 when judge William Hetherington was named to the Oklahoma Court of Civil Appeals. [1][2]
