William Hetherington
William C. Hetherington, Jr. was a judge on the Oklahoma Court of Civil Appeals. He retired on September 2, 2016.[1]
Judge Hetherington was appointed to the court on November 6, 2009 by Democratic Governor Brad Henry.[2] Hetherington succeeded Judge Glenn Adams, who retired in 2009.[3] He was retained by voters in 2012, and his term would have expired in 2019; instead, he retired.[4] Hetherington served as chief judge in 2015.[5]
Education
Hetherington received his undergraduate degree from the University of Oklahoma in 1970 and his J.D. from Oklahoma City University School of Law in 1979.[2]
Career
Hetherington was a judge on the Cleveland County District Court from 1992 to 2009. He served as a special district judge and was in private practice before that.[2]
Elections
2012
Hetherington was retained on Nov. 6, 2012 with 65.6% of the vote.[6][4][7]
