Rizzo nominated to fill vacancy in Monroe County

New York: Gov. Paterson has nominated Vincent J. Rizzo to fill a vacancy on the Monroe County Court. Rizzo, if confirmed by the Senate, will take office as an interim judge until December 31, 2010, when a newly-elected judge will take office. This judgeship will be on the ballot in the 2010 general election.

Rizzo has worked as an Investigator for the Rochester City School District since December of 2009. He has also worked in the Monroe County District Attorney's Office, in the Legal Aid Society, and as an Assistant Public Defender.[1]
