Robert N. Armen, Jr. was an Article I special trial judge for the United States Tax Court. Armen was appointed on August 27, 1993.[1] He retired on August 31, 2019.[2]

Education

Armen earned his B.A. from Duquesne University and a J.D. and M.L.T degree from Georgetown University. He also obtained an LL.M. from Cleveland State University.[1]

Professional career

Armen was admitted to the Ohio Bar, United States Tax Court Bar, and District of Columbia Bar. Prior to his appointment, Armen served in the following positions: Office of chief counsel for the Internal Revenue Service, United States Tax Court, adjunct professor at University of Baltimore Law School, and adjunct professor Northern Virginia Community College.[1]

Judicial career

Armen was appointed to the United States Tax Court as a special trial judge on August 27, 1993.[1] He retired on August 31, 2019.[2]
