Samuel Carollo was the Freehold Township representative on the Freehold Regional High School District school board in New Jersey. First elected in 2014, Carollo won a new term in the by-district general election on November 7, 2017.

Three of the nine seats on the Freehold Regional High School District school board in New Jersey were up for by-district general election on November 7, 2017. The seats representing Colts Neck Township, Freehold Township, and Marlboro Township were up for election. Board members Michael Messinger and Samuel Carollo filed for re-election to the Marlboro Township and Freehold Township seats, respectively, and newcomer Carl Accettola filed for the Colts Neck seat. All three won spots on the board.[1]

Funding

Carollo did not report campaign contributions or expenditures in this election as of October 17, 2017, according to the New Jersey Election Law Enforcement Commission.[2]

While three incumbents were up for re-election, only one ran in the election. Incumbent Michael Messinger won re-election to the Marlboro seat unopposed. Samuel Carollo won the Freehold Township unopposed. Incumbent board member Carl Accettola's son, Vincent Accettola, won the Colts Neck seat unopposed.[3][4]
