Scott P. Hill-Kennedy

Scott P. Hill-Kennedy is a judge for the 49th Circuit Court, 77th District Court and Mecosta/Osceola County Probate Court in Michigan. He was appointed to the circuit court by former Governor Granholm on April 28, 2005 to replace retired Judge Lawrence C. Root.[1] His term expired on January 1, 2019.[2]
Education
Hill-Kennedy received his undergraduate degree from Michigan State University and his law degree from the University of Arizona College of Law (now James E. Rogers College of Law).[1]
Career
Hill-Kennedy taught emotionally impaired students in Arizona prior to receiving his law degree. He worked for Ferris State University for over 13 years, serving as chief government relations and legal officer until he was appointed to the circuit court in 2005.[1]
2012 election
Hill-Kennedy was re-elected after running unopposed in 2012.[3][4]
