Shakila Henderson-Baker is a Democratic board member who represents District 3 on the Newton County Board of Education in Georgia. She was first elected to the board in 2010. Henderson-Baker won without opposition in the primary election on May 20, 2014. She was also unopposed in the general election on November 4, 2014.

Henderson-Baker earned a B.A. in political science from Fort Valley State University. She later received an M.S. in psychology and counseling from Troy University. Henderson-Baker currently works as a mental health clinician and case manager. She and her husband, Rodrick, have two children.[1]
