Campaign themes
In an interview with the Tri-Town News, Dey provided the following campaign themes for 2013:[2]
This is an unprecedented time in education. The Jackson School District is ahead with the implementation and curricular alignment to the PARCC and the Common Core State Standards initiatives. These assessments will measure and help guide all of our students to the 21st-century skills they will need. Communication and dialogue about the future building in Jackson will assist us for the preparation of homes coming online. Administrator and teacher evaluations are also key. There must be clear oversight in this area. Evaluations are a tool that only works well from the top down, when implemented with preparation, support, motivation and creativity. |
