The South Dakota Energy Turbine Restrictions Initiative did not appear on the November 2, 2010 ballot in South Dakota as an initiated state statute. The proposed measure called for an act to place certain restrictions on the location of wind energy turbines.

State laws allowed for initiative language to be submitted at any time. The maximum allowable time for circulation, however, was one year. For 2010, initiated statutes had a deadline of April 6, 2010 for submitting signatures. In order to qualify for the 2010 ballot a minimum of 16,776 signatures were required.
