Stephen L. Bates was the chief circuit court judge for the Fifteenth Circuit, serving Carroll, Grant, and Owen counties of Kentucky. He did not seek re-election in 2014 and retired at the end of his term in January 2015.[1]
Education
Bates received his undergraduate degree from the University of Kentucky and his J.D. from the University of Louisville School of Law.[2]
