Steve Faris (b. August 16, 1961) is a former Democratic member of the Arkansas State Senate, representing District 27 from 2001 to 2011. He served as Majority Whip.

Faris served in the Arkansas House of Representatives from 1997 to 2000.

Faris earned his B.A. from Henderson State University in 1983. His professional experience includes working as a Manager of Central Arkansas Telephone Cooperative. He served in the Arkansas Army National Guard from 1983 to 1989.

Faris was ineligible to run for re-election in 2010 due to the term limits of the Arkansas Legislature.

2006

On November 7, 2006, Faris won re-election to the 27th District Seat in the Arkansas State Senate, running unopposed in the general election.[1]
