Suzanne M. Mondo is a judge of the New York City Criminal Court. She assumed office in 1999.

Education

Mondo received her B.A. degree from New York University in 1977 and her J.D. degree from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in 1982.[1]

Career

Mondo began her career in 1982 as a senior trial attorney of the Kings County District Attorney's office. In 1988, she joined the U.S. Justice Department's Organized Crime and Racketeering Section as a special attorney. She worked in that capacity until 1990, when she returned to the Kings County D.A.'s office, this time as a Deputy Executive Assistant Attorney. She then worked as a private practice criminal defense attorney from 1996 until her appointment to the New York City Civil Court in 1998. The following year, she was appointed to the Criminal Court. She also served for a brief time in 2009 as an acting justice of the Kings County Supreme Court, New York.[1]
