Thomas Bitter is a judge of the First District Court in Iowa. He was appointed by Governor Chet Culver in December 2010 to succeed Lawrence H. Fautsch.[1]

Education

Bitter received his undergraduate degree from Loras College in 1993 and his J.D. from the University of Iowa College of Law in 1996.[1]

Career

Bitter has spent his legal career in private practice.[1]

2012 election

Bitter was retained in the general election on November 6, winning 76.57% of the vote.[2][3]
