Thomas W. Mott
Thomas W. Mott is a senior judge of District 5A of Iowa. He was appointed to this court in December of 1980.[1] He retired at the end of 2012 but stayed on as a senior judge.[2]
Education
Mott received his undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Iowa in 1972 and 1975, respectively. He also spent time serving in the U.S. Navy.[1]
Career
Mott became a private practice lawyer in Newton, Iowa after graduating from law school in 1975. He was then appointed District Associate Judge in December of 1980.[1]
