Victoria J. Grant

Victoria J. Grant was a judge for Judicial Division 9 of the Bernalillo Metropolitan Courts in New Mexico.[1]

Retirement

After 14 years of service, Grant retired effective May 17, 2010 amid allegations of misconduct. In agreement with the New Mexico Supreme Court, she retired in exchange for an end to the investigation regarding 21 complaints of her activity from the bench. Among other allegations, she was accused of convicting individuals without police evidence and sentencing criminals to longer than the maximum prison sentence.[2]
