Wyoming voter ID bill dies in committee

CHEYENNE, Wyoming: Tuesday, January 29, marked the end of the road for a bill requiring voters in Wyoming to display photo identification at the polls. According to Senator Ogden Driskill, the proposal needs more work to get it through the state legislature. Opponents of the bill, including the state chapter of the League of Women Voters, said that there was little evidence of any serious voter fraud in Wyoming. Although this means that voter won't have to show photo identification when they cast their ballots, they will still have to present it when they register to vote.[1]
