Jobs: I will encourage Tallahassee to come up with a bill to roll back the sum of the regulation, which will encourage opening more businesses and businesses to relocate to Florida. Cheap Energy: We should be exploring for natural gas for domestic energy and deregulate power companies in our state and bring more competition. This way consumers could shop for bargain rates, like we've seen in the "cell phone" market. Affordable Auto Insurance: I will encourage the House and Senate to review the Personal Injury Protection (PIP) Law and extend the claim dates up to 90 days. There should never be a lawsuit filed against the carrier, unless a treatment has been denied or a lawsuit against the liable Insurance Company until the P.I.P. is exhausted. If the injured person continues to be treated, the liable Insurance Company should never refuse to pay for treatment. Consumers can save more on their policies if we cut down the cost of the lawsuits against the insurance carriers, which later gets passed onto the consumer and the insurance cost goes up. It would keep the insurance rates low and consumers will save more money on their insurance policies. Home Owner Protection: If someone lost his or her job for any reason and this person is a homeowner, they should be able to qualify for mortgage insurance. This benefit should last up to six months, while the person that is unemployed is searching for work. Change in Education System: The education system classes will be based on an A. B. and C. merit system. All schools will compete with other schools and final exams will be done by a set of rotating teachers around the County School Board. There shall be a Poly Technical College Program in every school, that will teach skills for the future.. Drug Free Florida Schools: I will support involuntary drug testing in public schools, with the parent's consent. This way we will be able to keep our schools drug free and the crime down, and raise our children to be good citizens and protect them from overdosing.
