Zak Ford is an at-large member of the Folsom-Cordova Unified School District Board of Education in California. He was first elected to the board on November 2, 2010.

Ford ran unopposed and won his bid for re-election to one of three at-large seats on November 4, 2014.[1][2][3]

Ford grew up in the Folsom-Cordova Unified School District and graduated from Cordova High. He earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from California State University at Sacramento. Ford works as a strategic planning director for Sacramento CLC. In addition to his service on the board, Ford volunteers with the Mather Heights Elementary PTA, the Rancho Cordova Police Activities League and Project 680, an organization dedicated to assisting district students who lack basic resources. Ford lives in Mather with his wife and two children.[4][5]

Three at-large seats on the Folsom-Cordova Unified School District Board of Education were up for general election on November 4, 2014. The three incumbents, Zak Ford, Richard Shaw and Ed Short, ran unopposed and won re-election to their seats by default.

Results

This election was canceled due to lack of opposition. Incumbents Zak Ford, Richard Shaw and Ed Short won re-election by default.[6]

Funding

The Sacramento County Voter Registration and Elections Office does not publish and freely disclose school board candidate campaign finance reports. Ballotpedia staffers directly requested this information, but the municipal office refused those requests to make that information public.[7]
