The Montana Voting Age Amendment, also known as Amendment 1, was on the November 7, 1972 ballot in Montana as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment, where it was approved. The measure changed the voting age from nineteen years to eighteen years old. The measure was approved along with the new Constitution that was written following the approval of a constitutional convention in 1970.[1][2]
