Opposition

Three of the five seats on the Lynwood Unified School District Board of Education were up for general election on November 3, 2015. The election was held at large.[3][4] Incumbents Briseida Gonzalez and Maria Guadalupe López ran for re-election. They faced three challengers: Gloria Garcia, Linda George and Gary Hardie Jr.[5] López and Gonzalez won their bids for re-election, and Hardie won the open seat.[6] Macralita "Merci" Reynales originally filed to run in this election, but she withdrew from the race.[2]
