The Phelps School District Fitness Referendum was a school bond measure on the April 7 ballot in the Phelps School District which is in Vilas County. The referendum was brought to the ballot by the school board, and it sought to exceed state-set revenue limits by $15,000 per year for three years, totaling $45,000 by 2012. The additional funds will be used to improve the school fitness area.

Passed, with 360 "yes" votes and 161 "no" votes.[1]
Wording of referendum
BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Education of the School District of Phelps, Vilas County, Wisconsin, that the revenue included in the School District budget for the 2009-2010 school year through the 2011-2012 school year be authorized to exceed the revenue limit specified in Section 121.91(2m), Wisconsin Statutes, by $15,000 a year, for non-recurring purposes consisting of paying for improvement to the school fitness area.[1]
