Two statewide ballot measures were on the 2008 ballot in the state of Hawaii.
- One of the ballot measures was a legislatively referred constitutional amendment.
- One of the ballot measures was a automatic ballot question regarding a constitutional convention.
On the ballot
- The state legislature can convene a constitutional convention by a simple majority vote. If they don't hold one every ten years, the state's Lieutenant Governor orders the question, "Shall there be a convention to propose a revision of or amendments to the Constitution?" to be placed on a statewide ballot.
