Article XXXI of the Washington State Constitution is labeled Sex Equality - Rights and Responsibilities. It includes sections 1 and 2, for a total of two sections.

Article XXXI has been amended one time, in 1972.

Section 1

Text of Section 1:

Equality Not Denied Because of Sex.

Equality of rights and responsibility under the law shall not be denied or abridged on account of sex.[1]

Section 2

Text of Section 2:

Enforcement Power of Legislature.

The legislature shall have the power to enforce, by appropriate legislation, the provisions of this article.[1]
