Richard Stair, Jr. was a bankruptcy judge for the United States bankruptcy court, Eastern District of Tennessee. Judge Stair was appointed in October 1986, and served as chief judge from October 1993 to October 2000. He retired from the court after his term expired on September 30, 2014.[1]
Education
Judge Stair earned his B.S. and his J.D. degrees from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville.[2]
Career
Prior to joining the bench, Judge Stair practiced as an attorney alongside his father, Richard Stair Sr.[1]
