Brad Smith is a judge on the Sandusky County Court of Common Pleas Probate and Juvenile Divisions in Fremont, Ohio.[1] He was re-elected to the Sandusky County Court of Common Pleas Probate and Juvenile Divisions in 2014, winning a term that expired on February 8, 2021.[2]

Education

Smith received his undergraduate degree in business administration from the Ohio State University in 1992 and his J.D. from the University of Toledo College of Law in 1995.[1]

Career

Before joining the court, Smith maintained a private law practice and has served as both an assistant prosecuting attorney for the Fremont Municipal Court and as a county commissioner for Sandusky County.[1]

Primary: He was successful in the Republican primary on May 6, 2014, receiving 58.7 percent of the vote. He competed against Brad Culbert.
General: He was unopposed in the general election on November 4, 2014. [3][4]

Smith was elected to the court in November 2008 to a full six-year term, which commenced on February 9, 2009.[5][6]
