Bob Ziegelbauer is a member of the Wisconsin State Assembly. Ziegelbauer represents Wisconsin's 25th Assembly District which consists of the Manitowoc region. Also, Ziegelbauer is the County Executive for Manitowoc. Ziegelbauer has ran as a Democrat from 1992 to 2008. On June 21, 2010, Ziegelbauer announced that he would leave the Democratic Party to run as an independent[1].

Legislative Career

Bob Ziegelbauer was elected to the Wisconsin State Assembly in 1992. Ziegelbauer is a rare breed of Democrat in the State Assembly as the lone conservative Democrat in a hard-left wing caucus. Ziegelbauer admantaly opposes universal health care and all forms of taxaition as Ziegelbauer is usally the highest rated Democrat on scorecards including Americans for Propserity and Wisconsin Manufacturers and Commerce.

On November 4, 2008, Ziegelbauer won reelection to Assembly District 25, receiving 98.85% of the vote.[2]
