Ryan W. Toone is both the Justice of the Peace on the Mesquite Township Justice Court and the Municipal Court judge on the Mesquite Municipal Court in Nevada. He was elected as justice of the peace in Nevada's general election on November 6, 2012. His term expires in January 2019.
Education
Toone received his J.D. from the University of Minnesota.[1]
Career
Toone previously served as Deputy City Attorney for the City of Mesquite for four years.[2]
Elections
2012
Toone won 24.01% of the vote in the primary election on June 12.[3] He defeated Karen Beausoleil in the general election on November 6, 2012, earning 55.27% of the vote.[4] Toone was sworn in as both Justice of the Peace and as Mesquite Municipal Judge on January 7, 2013. His term as a justice of the peace will expire in January 2019. His term as Mesquite's municipal judge is at the will of Mesquite's City Council.[2]
