Kansas Legislative Reapportionment, Amendment 2 (1974)

The Kansas Legislative Reapportionment, Amendment 2, also known as Amendment 2, was on the ballot in Kansas on August 6, 1974, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was approved. The amendment proposed that the constitution be amended: Article 10, Section 1. The amendment proposed that, beginning with the 1979 regular session and every 10 years thereafter, the legislature shall reapportion the congressional districts. The attorney general must seek the approval of the state Supreme Court for reapportionment.[1]
