Maryland Budget Appropriations, Amendment 2 (1952)

The Maryland Budget Appropriations Amendment, also known as Amendment 2, was on the November 4, 1952 ballot in Maryland as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment, where it was approved. The measure provided for an itemized estimate of all appropriations as the governor may determine to include appropriations for the general assembly, the executive department, the judiciary department, to pay the principal and interest of the debt of the state, for the salaries payable by the state, for the establishment and maintenance of the public school system and for any other purposes set forth by the laws of the state.[1][2]
