Walter W. Rothschild was a senior judge of the First District of Iowa. He was appointed to this position in 1987.

Biography and Education

Rothschild was born in Constance, Germany. He received his bachelor's and law degrees from the University of Iowa in 1954 and 1957, respectively.

Career

Prior to his judicial appointment, Rothschild worked as a general practice lawyer, as general counsel to the Iowa State Tax Commission and as a judicial hospital referee.
