James DeMarzo

James DeMarzo is a superior court judge for the Vicinage 10 Superior Court, serving Morris and Sussex counties of New Jersey.[1] He was appointed to the court by former Governor Jon Corzine (D) on January 12, 2010, and assumed the bench on February 5, 2010.[2] DeMarzo was reappointed in December 2016, and may now serve until he reaches the mandatory retirement age in 2034.[3]
Education
DeMarzo received his undergraduate degree from Seton Hall University and his J.D. from the Seton Hall University School of Law in 1989.[4][5]
Career
Before he became a judge, DeMarzo practiced law as a trial attorney for twenty years and was a managing partner at the firm of O’Donnell, McCord and DeMarzo in Morristown, New Jersey. He also previously served as a municipal prosecutor for the Madison, Washington Township, and Califon boroughs of New Jersey.[4]
