Valeri Haughton is a judge for the sixth seat of the Monroe County Circuit Court in Indiana. She was first elected to the position in 2008.[1] She was re-elected on November 4, 2014, for a term that expires on December 31, 2020.[2]

Haughton ran for re-election to the Monroe County Circuit Court.
Primary: She ran unopposed in the Democratic primary on May 6, 2014.
General: She defeated Karen A. Wyle in the general election on November 4, 2014, receiving 56.6 percent of the vote.

2008
In 2008, Haughton ran for the sixth seat on the Monroe County Circuit Court. In the Democratic primary she ran against three other opponents, Holly M. Harvey, Alphonso "Al" Manns and Fred Turner. She won the primary with 37.5% of the vote. In the general election Haughton ran against Republican opponent Joby D. Jerrells. She won the general election with 61.4% of the vote.[5]

Haughton earned her undergraduate and J.D. degrees from the University of Iowa.[6]
