Matthew Rosenbaum is the former supervising judge for the 7th Judicial District Supreme Court, Civil Term in New York. He was appointed supervising judge by Ann T. Pfau in March 2011. He served on the Supreme Court from 2005 to 2019.[1][2] In October 2011 Rosenbaum was appointed to a three-year term as commercial judge for the 7th Judicial District.[3] Rosenbaum was re-elected in November 2019 but declined to take office in January 2020.[4]

Education

Rosenbaum received his B.A. degree from Hobart College in 1986 and his J.D. degree from the Boston University School of Law in 1989.[1]

Career

Rosenbaum began his career in 1991 as an associate of Roland, Fogel, Koblenz & Carr. He then practiced with Sutton, Deleeuw, Clark & Darcy from 1993 through 1994 before becoming a partner of Gray Feldman & Rosenbaum, LLP in 1995. He worked in that capacity until he was appointed to the Supreme Court in 2005. On that court, he has been assigned to Lead Paint Litigation since 2006. He has also served as the 7th Judicial District's liaison to the Statewide Coordinator on Summary Jury Trials since then. He was appointed Supervising Judge of the 7th Judicial District's Civil Term in 2011.[1]
