Adam R. Jones is a political strategist working as the Nevada state director of Americans for Prosperity. He has worked in federal, state and local politics since working for John McCain's (R-Ariz.) presidential campaign in 2008. The Salt Lake Tribune called Jones a "rising star" in the Republican Party when he became chief of staff for former Nevada Lt. Gov. Brian Krolicki in 2013.[1][2]
Career
Adam Jones is from Kaysville, Utah. He studied political science at the University of Utah from 2003 to 2007. In May 2008, Jones worked on the John McCain presidential campaign as the director of events and surrogate operations. In that role, he planned and coordinated fundraising and town hall events for the campaign as well as media opportunities. After the 2008 election, Jones became the executive director of the Republican Party of North Dakota. In that capacity, he opened three offices and expanded the state party staff to 10 employees.[1]
In 2011, Jones left his executive director position at the Republican Party of North Dakota to become a senior strategist for the Las Vegas-based political consulting firm RedRock Strategies. At RedRock, Jones worked with firms like Dutch Shell Oil, the National Federation of Independent Business and Walgreens to manage their public affairs efforts.[1]
Former Nevada Lt. Gov. Brian Krolicki hired Jones as his chief of staff in 2013. Jones managed the Lt. Governor's staff and served as media spokesman.[1]
Jones worked with the Mitt Romney 2012 presidential campaign. With his personal relationships with actors Kelsey Grammer, Jon Voight and John Ratzenberger, Jones sought to increase national attention for the campaign.[1]
In 2014, Jones co-founded The Foundation for America with actor John Ratzenberger. The Foundation for America is a nonprofit organization focused on skilled labor. Jones is a member of the foundation's board of directors and manages and directs all operations of the foundation.[3][4]
Jones became the state director of the Nevada chapter of Americans for Prosperity in May 2015.[5]
