In a video for the University of Alabama School of Law, Hayden described her work, saying, "As director of federal government affairs, I primarily serve as liaison between our company and the federal government. That includes the entire Congress, so the Senate and House, and it also includes federal agencies, several of which have regulatory authority over the products we sell."[3]
