A city of Gardena mayoral election was held on Tuesday, March 5, 2013, to elect the mayor of the City of Gardena, California, in Los Angeles County.

Incumbent mayor Paul K. Tanaka won re-election. He was first elected to the office of mayor in March 2005 and was re-elected to a second four-year term in March 2009.

The position of mayor of the City of Gardena is nonpartisan, as per Section 6 of Article II of the California Constitution.

The deadline to file to run for the office was December 10, 2012.

Gardena had a population of 58,829 as of the 2010 census. Gardena incorporated as a city on September 11, 1930.
