Leslie E. Harris
Leslie E. Harris is a former associate justice for the Suffolk Juvenile Court in Suffolk County, Massachusetts.[1] He was appointed to the bench in 1994 by Governor William F. Weld.[2]
Education
Harris received his undergraduate degree from Northwestern University in 1974, his master's degree from Boston University in 1974, and his J.D. from the Boston College Law School in 1984.[2]
Career
- 1992-1994: Chief, Juvenile Division, Suffolk County District Attorney's Office
- 1988-1992: Public defender, Committee for Public Counsel Services
- 1989-1992: Probation officer[3]
Harris has taught at: Roxbury Community College, Edco, Metropathways Program, Highland Park Free School, New School for Children and Salem State College. Previously, Judge Harris served as a program consultant at the Museum of Afro-American History in Boston. He was also the director of the Melrose METCO Program, where he established and administered a busing program.[3]
