Campaign website

Dang's campaign website stated the following:

Independent Voice for San Jose in 2026!

Listening, Understanding, and Delivering Real Solutions

I’m running for City Council because District 5 deserves a leader who truly understands our community — someone who has lived the same struggles and celebrates the same dreams.

My Priorities for District 5

Public Safety First

Everyone deserves to feel safe at home, work, and in our neighborhoods. I’ll support our police and first responders, push for better response times and neighborhood patrols, and work to stop robberies, car break-ins, street crime, and vandalism that hurt families, seniors, and small businesses. Without safety, nothing else works.

Addressing homelessness

I support to build more emergency shelters, Increase affordable housing, Rental assistance to prevent eviction, Mental health & addiction services, Job training programs, Work with nonprofits and county, Improve public safety.

Supporting Small Businesses & Local Jobs

As a small business owner myself, I know the burdens of city fees, red tape, and theft. I’ll fight to make permits faster and easier, allow fee delays for growing businesses, protect stores from crime, and help create good local jobs so families can thrive here.

Standing with Immigrant & Working-Class Families

I’m an immigrant who knows sacrifice for freedom and opportunity. I’ll advocate for rental assistance for low-income families, lower utility costs for seniors and struggling households, clear multilingual city services, and respect for all who call District 5 home

Opportunity & The American Dream for the Next Generation

Hard work should lead to a better life. I’ll invest in job training, education support, expanded senior centers, parks, playgrounds, after-school programs, and youth activities to give kids positive paths and help parents afford college or stable futures.
