Jerry A. Brown was a judge for the United States bankruptcy court, Eastern District of Louisiana.[1] While he initially retired from the court on September 1, 2011, he was recalled to the court on September 1, 2017, for a term ending August 31, 2020.[2] Brown died on June 3, 2021.[3]

Education

Judge Brown received his undergraduate degree from Murray State University and his J.D. from Tulane University.[4]

Career

Brown was a clerk for Judge John Minor Wisdom at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. He later worked with Bronfin & Heller as special counsel. Also, from 1960 to 1990, he practiced as both an attorney and partner with Monroe and Lemann.[5]
