Guy P. Tomlinson is a judge for the Montgomery County Surrogate's Court in New York. He has served in this position since 1996, following his election. He was re-elected in 2005 and his current term ends in 2015. He has also served as an Acting Justice of the Montgomery County Supreme Court since his appointment in 1999 and as a judge of the Montgomery County Integrated Domestic Violence Court since his appointment in 2006.[1]

Education

Tomlinson received his B.S. degree from Utica College of Syracuse University and his J.D. degree from the Western New England School of Law in 1978.[1]

Career

Tomlinson began his career in 1979 as a Montgomery County Assistant District Attorney and was promoted to District Attorney in 1985. He held that position until 1996, when he joined the Surrogate's Court. He also joined the Supreme Court in 1999 as an Acting Justice and became a judge of the Integrated Domestic Violence Court in 2006.[1]
