George W. Davis III is a circuit court judge for the 32nd Judicial Circuit, which presides over Boyd County in Kentucky.[1] He was appointed to the court by Governor Steve Beshear in July 2009.[2] Davis was later elected to the court in 2010 and re-elected in 2014, his current eight-year term expiring on January 1, 2023.[3] [4]

Davis was elected to the 32nd Judicial Circuit on November 2, 2010. He defeated challenger Thomas W. Lavender with 80.44 percent of the vote.[5][6]

Education

Davis received his undergraduate degree from the University of Kentucky and his J.D. from the University of Louisville School of Law in 1992.[2][7]

Career

From 1999 until his appointment to the 32nd Circuit Court in 2009, Davis served as a district court judge for the 32nd Judicial District Court.[2]
