The Iowa Constitutional Conventions Amendment, also known as Amendment 1, was on the ballot in Iowa on November 3, 1964, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was approved. The measure provided for an election in 1970, and every ten years after that, to determine whether or not to hold a constitutional convention to revise the constitution. The measure also provided for the election of delegates for the convention and the method of ratification by electors of any new amendments.[1][2][3]
