North Dakota State Officials Salary Initiative (1932)

The North Dakota State Officials Salary Initiative, also known as Reducing or Fixing the Compensation of Certain Elected and All Appointive State Officials, was on the November 8, 1932 ballot in North Dakota as an initiated state statute, where it was approved. The measure set the following salary standards:[1][2]
- Governor:$4,000 annually
- Lieutenant Governor: $800 annually
- Attorney General: $3,000 annually
- Secretary of State, State Auditor, State Treasurer, Superintendent of Public Instruction, Commissioner of Agriculture and Labor, Commissioner of Insurance and each Railroad Commissioner: $2,400 annually
The measure also cut the compensation or salary of all appointed positions by 20 percent.
